The function point communities have developed over 20 variations of function points.
But there are other important topics that the function point community ignores. We need a suite of related metrics that can handle corporate measurement issues:- function points for software size
- hardware function points for engineered products
- data points for data bases and repository size
- risk points for hazardous situations
- value points that combine financial and intangible value topics
