On April 19th was the Nesma spring meeting with the theme ‘The business benefits of Cost Engineering’. During this meeting the new Nesma standard 2.3 has been launched and the first books have been presented to the members of the counting practice. The new standard can be ordered in Dutch and English at the Nesma site. By clicking on the Dutch or the English version a preview of the standard is shown. Intention is to provide the whole standard by means of a viewer for Nesma members on the short term. We will keep you informed about the status. During the meeting the status of the Software Cost Engineering Body of Knowledge (sCEBoK) has been presented. In an interactive session the attendees discussed what cost engineering themes require more attention from a Nesma perspective. The results will be consolidated by the practice leads and included in the plans for 2018. With sunny weather and network drinks on the terrace of the venue the spring meeting was a great success.
